Who is Asma Claassen?

Asma Claassen was born in 1968. She converted to Islam in 1988 and since then has been committed to working with topics related to Islam, education, identity or society.

Her specialty lies at the intersection of Islam, education, Tarbiya and citizenship. After being an Islam teacher herself for many years, since 2004 she has mainly focused on policy, developing teaching materials and providing information on the identity development of Muslim children.

I took the Basic Islamic Education Course and found it very instructive. The reason I signed up for this course is that I am a teacher myself, so I wanted to learn as a professional how to parent in an Islamic way.
