Thank you for choosing to submit your book proposal to SUVIO.nl. Our goal is to respond to every submission submitted. However, we cannot always guarantee that this is possible. Furthermore, some proposals are rejected because they do not contain enough information or because they do not provide the right kind of information. To give your project the best chance of being considered for publication, please read the guidelines for the type of book you want to submit.

It can take up to 6-9 months for us to consider manuscripts/proposals, with additional time often required if different opinions are requested. Please do not contact us by phone or email for status updates, as all submissions are handled online through your submit account that only our editors have access to. Please refer to the 'status' of your account to be submitted for any changes or updates.

We are not looking for:

Adult Prose or Poetry Anything NOT related to Islam, Muslims or faith in general

If we reject your manuscript, we will not provide you with a detailed written assessment of your work. In some cases where we ask for a proposal to be developed and resubmitted, additional feedback may be sent.

Our goal is to respond to every submission submitted, but we cannot always guarantee that this will be possible. Furthermore, a number of proposals are rejected because they do not contain enough information, or because they do not provide the right kind of information; To give your project the best chance of being considered for publication, read the guidelines for the type of book you want to submit.

SUVIO is interested in publishing well-written fiction and non-fiction with an Islamic perspective, for children in the following age groups:

* 0-3 years: Cardboard books up to 16 pages, up to 350 words* 3-5 years: 24-32 pages, up to 750 words5-8 years: 32-64 pages, up to 10,000 words8-12 years: 64-120 pages, up to 20,000 words13 /Adolescents: 100 pages, up to 60,000 words

Pay close attention to these guidelines, as the editor will not read your manuscript unless you submit it in full. Your proposal should include:

A cover letter with your full name and contact details A short CV/motivation A description of one A4 page of the proposal, including:

Make sure your spelling and grammar are correct! ABN is preferred, although colloquialisms are also acceptable. Avoid literary or archaic language. The level must match the age and perception of the children.

Corporate identity guidelines

As a publisher of Islamic children's books, we have our own house style, which reflects our vision of Islam in (Islamic) pedagogy and upbringing.

Our corporate identity guidelines are helpful to writers, translators, editors, copywriters, and proofreaders as they prepare a manuscript for publication.

The short answer is no, because languages are living things and the rules of grammar and style also change. We will therefore regularly update our corporate identity guidelines and the associated glossary, in particular to transcribe Arabic and other languages used in Muslim-majority countries into Dutch.
